At a Glance
A seven-night, men-only escape on the Greek island of Skiathos, hosted by Bò, a former retreat-centre director and head chef. Groups are deliberately small: a minimum of seven and a maximum of ten guests. The week combines a private villa with pool, chef-led dining, beach days, guided movement sessions, holistic treatments and unhurried time for connection. Indicative pricing from around £4,950 per person (shared) or £6,200 (single), excluding flights; final pricing to be confirmed. The first departure is planned for April, and the waiting list is open now.

The Concept
Aegean Journeys is deliberately hard to pigeonhole, because that is the point. It is a high-end men-only holiday that happens to feed you exceptionally well, take you to beautiful places, and quietly create the conditions for something more meaningful than a suntan. The host describes it as an escape combining food, adventure, creativity, connection and personal development, and it is intentionally not framed as a wellness retreat. Nothing is compulsory, everything is available: come for the sunshine and the sea, and take from the week whatever you want to take.
The size of the group is central to the experience. With between seven and ten guests, the week has the feel of a villa holiday among friends rather than a programme to be completed. Days are structured loosely, with space to swim, sunbathe, read, talk or simply drift.
The Setting: Skiathos in Spring

Skiathos is the greenest of the Sporades, a small, pine-covered island with a pretty harbour town of whitewashed houses and bougainvillea. In spring it is at its quiet best: warm enough to swim, cool enough to walk, and largely free of the high-season crowds. The retreat is based from a private villa with pool, looking across the bay and within easy reach of everything the island does best.

The Beaches

The island claims more than sixty beaches, and a handful of them rank among the finest in Greece. On the north coast, Lalaria is the postcard: a cove of white marble pebbles beneath pale cliffs and a natural sea arch, reached by boat from the old port when the sea is calm. On the south coast, Koukounaries is a long crescent of golden sand backed by pine forest that runs almost to the waterline, sheltering the Strofilia wetland behind it. Between them lie dozens of smaller coves, quieter still in April: Agia Eleni, Mandraki, Elias.
For the retreat, the quieter stretches are the point. The week includes days at the island's long-standing clothing-optional beach, where swimming without a stitch and the freedom of being completely yourself are very much the order of the day. Crystal-clear water, no crowds, and nowhere to be except exactly where you are.
Skiathos Town: Evenings Out

The town wraps itself around a working harbour: fishing boats heading out at dawn, tavernas setting tables along the quay by late afternoon. The pedestrian spine of Papadiamantis Street runs uphill from the port, all jewellers, bakeries and boutiques, while the old harbour on the eastern side is where the cocktail bars sit above the water and evenings stretch comfortably past midnight. Dinner can be simply grilled fish at a water's-edge taverna, and it can be the best meal of the week.
The retreat makes room for it. Not every evening is spent at the villa: a night or two in town, from ouzo at dusk to a late table for ten, is part of the week's shape, with the villa's own terrace waiting for the walk home.
Meet Bò, the Curator

Every journey needs a curator, and Aegean Journeys is Bò's. By background he is a performer, by training a chef, and by long practice a retreat-centre director who has hosted hundreds of guests across hundreds of weeks. He is a specialist at hosting and entertaining in the oldest sense: reading a room, drawing out the quiet guest, knowing when to fill a silence and when to leave one alone, and making ten strangers feel like a dinner party by the second evening.
He is also a specialist in holistic treatments, and they are woven quietly through the week: a massage after a day in the sea, a restorative hour on the terrace, the guided movement sessions on the sand. He is joined by a Pilates instructor for the movement programme and a private chef for the kitchen, so the whole week is held by people who do this for a living.

Guests will find him, in short, a fabulous host, and the kind of person who turns a week in a beautiful villa into something you book again before you fly home.
A Day in the Flow: Apollo's Table, Sun, Sea and Freedom
The best way to understand the week is to look at one of its sample days. Apollo's Table is a day of sunshine, connection and letting go.

It begins with a leisurely breakfast on the villa terrace: fresh Greek produce, seasonal fruit, pastries and excellent coffee, before a short morning gathering to set intentions for the day. Then the group heads out to the beach for a full day in and beside crystal-clear water, with a guided movement session on the sand and the sea as backdrop. There is a beachside lunch, and the afternoon is gloriously unscheduled: swim, sunbathe, chat or drift.

The group returns to the villa late afternoon for a shower, a treatment with Bò or a little poolside relaxation, before gathering on the terrace for dinner prepared by the private chef.
The Food
Dining is at the heart of the week, and it is no afterthought. A private chef cooks throughout, from generous terrace breakfasts to long evening dinners, with fresh Greek and Mediterranean produce at the centre. Bò's own cheffing background means menus are treated as a feature of the week rather than catering, and shared meals are where much of the connection happens.

The Villa After Dark

Evenings are meant to be lingered over: a spritz by the pool, long dinners on the terrace and the lights coming up around the villa as the bay goes dark.
Getting There
Guests book their own flights, which keeps things simple and lets everyone travel the way that suits them. Suggested routes and airport options are provided on booking, and transfers on Skiathos are coordinated once everyone's arrival details are in. With a small group travelling, the aim is that nobody navigates the last leg alone.
Booking and the Waiting List
With a maximum of ten places, the week will sell on a first-come basis. The waiting list is open now, and joining it carries no obligation: it simply puts you first in line when dates and final pricing are confirmed. Register your interest and we will keep you posted as the programme is announced.
Editorial note: this is a new venture and details are being finalised with the host. Programme, dates and pricing on this page will be updated as they are confirmed.
