Our Ethos

We do the hard work,
so travellers don't have to.

Most hotel reviews are written once. Then they sit.

We didn't want that for Hotels-Reviewed.

Our Editorial Process

Every article follows the same editorial process:

1We research the hotel thoroughly
2We examine the guest experience across multiple sources
3We check the facts against the marketing
4We challenge the claims
5We draw our own conclusions
6We tell you what we think — honestly

No gloss. No filler. No hedging. If a hotel isn't worth your time and money, we say so. If it is, we tell you why.

Two Reasons We Exist

We do the research others don't.

We don't summarise a handful of reviews. We synthesise across booking platforms, guest feedback, official materials, and our own editorial judgement to give you one clear, honest picture of what a hotel is actually like.

Our reviews don't stop growing once they're published.

Hotels change. Standards shift. New guests arrive with new perspectives. Our articles are living records that deepen over time — updated, enriched, and refined as we learn more.

Together, that's our flywheel: thorough research earns your visit. Living reviews earn your return.

What We Won't Do

We won't republish third-party reviews as our own. We won't gloss over problems to keep a hotel happy. We won't tell you a £400/night resort is "fine." And we won't publish an article and forget about it.

We'll just tell you the truth — and keep updating it when the truth changes.

Our Price Structure

We don't quote nightly rates — they fluctuate with seasons, deals, and currency. Instead, every hotel carries a relative price tier, calibrated against other properties in its own region and category. Think of it as a quick sense of where a hotel sits on the value scale, not a bill.

£Accessible

The most affordable options within a category — strong value for what you pay.

££Mid-Range

A comfortable middle ground — solid quality without the premium price tag.

£££Premium

Upper-tier pricing for a notably elevated experience.

££££Peak Luxury

The top of the scale — the finest a destination or category has to offer.

A ££££ in Egypt and a ££££ in the Maldives mean very different things in real money — but both sit at the top of their respective games. That's the point.

We've already done the digging.
You just need to read it.
